There are so many ways to knit and crochet hats for Winter, we have quite a bunch of them on our site. The Wurm pattern I am going to share today is so lovely and simple, it’s great to see how a few small tweaks can yield such beautifully different results. I absolutely love the eyelet between the ridges of garter stitch, and the picot trim looks so pretty. This is a hat with a double life; it can be worn as a snug cowl or you can gather the drawstrings threaded through the top edge to turn it into a hat. We also have the DIY Free Crochet Animal Hat Pattern for kids. We also have Crochet Girl’s Sun Hats with Pattern. This hat is absolutely a very handsome, very useful hat with a lot of special features: you can use it with whatever kind of hair, awesome at both women and men, and keeps your ears extra warm! You can also change it a bit as katushika did by adding a picot edging and eyelet details to the ribbing for the body of the hat.
With a double-thickness brim and the perfect amount of slouch, the Wurm Hat is funky and stylish and, above all, warm. We knit our version with 1 ball of Schoppel-Wolle Gradient, a soft 100% merino with gorgeous transitional colour changes.
