No mattern you have big yard or no yard, you will love this DRUM planter tutorial, especially you have seniors at home. We have a lot of DIY Planter projects featured before that you can check them out, such as the DIY Tire Wishing Well Planters and DIY U-Shaped Raised Garden Bed for Easy Access. This waist high planter stand is made of 2*4 strangers, with width enough to hold the 55 gallon drum. The plastic drum is much cheap and cut them into half, you’ll get two. You can get wood crates, or other planter box instead.
First, you will need the exact size to before you cut the lumber wood. Assemble the whole wood structure, install the drums and create holes for drainage.
You may need another wood at center to hold up the drum, they can be heavy with all the soils and water.
Put on the plastic drum or metal ones, though it’s a bit hard to cut. ;)
Put it along the fence, or wall in yard, or on concrete floor, be sure to have enough sunlit for harvest.
Add trellis for climbing plants and no waist pain on gardening wook, how is that?
