- ch4 and join with ss
- ch2 (counts as 1tr), tr 2, ch2, tr3 repeat twice more
- ch2 (counts as 1tr), tr in each tr below, then tr3, ch2, tr3 in each corner
- repeat to desired size (I worked 9 rounds)
You’re essentially making a wobbly square – see photo – thanks to the tr3, ch2, tr3 in the corners, which act as increases.
To make up the slipper, fold in half with right sides facing so you create a triangle (photo). Working on the inside, join about 1.5” above one corner, and dc in each stitch to the end, with 4dcs in the corner ch sp (another photo shows what this looks like when it’s done). Fasten off and weave in the ends. Turn the right side out and fold down the remaining flap.
